A charming, fictionalized account of a visit that the Soviet director, Sergei Eisenstein, paid to his good friends, Laszlo and Sibyl Moholy-Nagy, and their little daughter, Hattula, in 1933. They discuss the difficulty of artistic creation in repressive times and the problems connected with emigration. An extra feature on the DVD introduces the director and the actors, and documents the making of the film.
